My room is too small for floor standing speakers?
My room is 10 feet x 10 feet, in the form of a square. It has very high ceilings, probably somewhere between 12 and 16 feet. Would floor Standing Speakers (towers) to be wasted in a room this size? Am I better off spending money on "bookshelf" speakers and some stands Nice instead?
Have your stereo or surround speak? In your question, earlier you were asked about the surrounding. If you want a good stereo sound, and you do not intend to get a subwoofer, Floorstanding full range speakers are the way forward – regardless of the size of the room (but you will probably find large speakers take over the room). If you want surround – as I said before – go small library with speakers and a sub sound. As for editing, in a small room, you can wall mount (no stand). Mixture range and mini speakers and a sub will work, but it is a waste money and still has the "overfilling" the Hall effect. That all said, speakers are a matter of what works for you. You need to listen. Some people just do not like a little speaker / sub combination, others. Hearing speakers, preferably in a room of similar size (volume not width / length) to yours — say no to Best Buy or Circuit City or similar barn with bad rock screams in the background.
