language speakers statistics

statistics (social) issues?
I am fairly new to the statistics and I would like to know which tool is appropriate statistical analysis for my future studies. I looked at two groups: native speakers of English (American students) learning French speakers and native Hebrew learning English. For the French, I will ask American students to write two subjects in their 2nd language (French) In the 2nd phase, I will ask them to write in their native language (English). I'm going to have native speakers of Hebrew perform the same tasks (1st, write in English, then write in Hebrew). Ultimately I would like to see the features typical of the way whose grammar (use of prepositions, for example) used in their 1st language writing to transfer their 2nd language writing adult learners of foreign languages. Please help!
I expect a lot of experimental errors in this area. The question is a selection of statistics that you want to capture. You have to say what will be done to determine the structure of grammar and their equivalence. Can you articulate your hypothesis? Going purely by an assumption that you "means" I do not know, I suppose ANOVA may be a method to compare the results from English to French English to VS differences Hebrew.
